Preface
Concrete is a representative construction material which has been used the most until now in constructing buildings and infrastructure. Especially, for concrete taking charge frameworks of buildings, longevity through increase of durability is one of very important factors. Also, the issue is an impending assignment to be commonly pursued domestically and overseas alike.
The purpose of PICLS (Performance Improvement of Concrete for Long Life Span Structure) is to promote enhancement of competitive power of each country’s industries related to concrete from holding diverse international symposiums and referring to various cases of each nation based on the topic in Korea, China, and Japan. This event celebrating the 10th anniversary, which is hosted by the department of architectural engineering and the institute of transportation and architecture of Korea National University of Transportation, will be held at the international conference hall of the university. At the PICLS 2016, 37 research papers which have been studied with diverse fields of subjects such as execution of building materials and Construction were submitted. Two keynote speakers and 21 participants will present their achievement.
